What is SNAP photography festival?
Snap is a unique festival and creative retreat aimed at wedding and lifestyle photographers. It features an array of workshops, keynote activities which will inspire you and help you to develop your business.
There are talks, workshops, live shoots, business sessions, trips to the beach and loads of other great stuff to stimulate your mind and stretch your imagination. There's also an epic party where dance-offs are encouraged and shape throwing is mandatory, and we have live music, camp fire hang outs and a few surprises along the way.
When and where does SNAP take place?
SNAP takes place from 3pm on 29th April - lunch time on the 3rd May 2019. Our 2019 location is Winscome, Somerset and we're taking over a summer camp for disadvantaged kids. That means our hire fee will subsidise future camps for children in the local area.
How much do tickets cost and what's included?
Tickets start at £1200 and include:
- Accommodation for 4 nights
- A delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as tea, coffee and snacks each day
- Access to the full programme of workshops and events over 3.5 days and 4 nights including over 10 talks and workshops, live music, yoga and meditation, our epic party night and a whole load of other events and activities
Can I pay in instalments?
Yep. We offer the option to pay 50% of your ticket cost now and the other 50% in January. Just enter the code PAYMENTPLAN when buying your ticket and then we'll send you instructions for paying the balance one month before it's due. An admin fee of £25 will be added to your final balance if you pay in instalments.
What are the accommodation options?
2019's accommodation is all bunkhouses (so no chilly nights under canvas!) ranging in size from 2 persons to 20 people. All accommodation will be same sex, unless you come as part of a couple in which case you can share with other couples or book one of our limited number of two person rooms.
Accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable. We'll also have a number of designated quiet rooms, for people who like to head to bed early. You will be asked to confirm your preferences when you purchase your ticket.
Can I share with friends?
Yep, you'll be asked on the sign up form if there's anyone in particular you want to share with. We can't guarentee you'll only be placed with people you know, unless you have enough people to fill a room, but we're pretty sure that who ever you end up sharing with will be a new friend by the end of the week.
What happens if I don't know anyone who's going?
At least 1/3 of our attendees every year come along not knowing anyone. We have a buddy scheme where we pair you up with a returning SNAPster, who'll check in with you every day to see how you're doing. We also have a welfare officer who's there to make sure you have
We'll also make sure at least one other person in your accommodation is new, as well as ensuring all of our new SNAPsters have an opportunity to meet up and say hello on the first night.

We also have lots of meets ups throughout the year, so you can come along and meet other SNAPsters before the main event.
How do I know I'll get a good return on my investment?
Educational standards are extremely important to us here at SNAP. Our founder, Laura Babb is an Institute of Leadership and Management qualified trainer and all of our content is sourced with specific learning outcomes in mind.
For 2019 we'll be providing training to any speaker without previous training in workshop delivery good practice, to ensure everyone who teaches at SNAP delivers education in line with our learning manifesto.
Who's on the 2019 line up?
Our line up is announced in the Autumn. We usually sell at least 50% of our tickets before the line up is announced, so if you're thinking of joining us we do recommend you secure your spot as soon as you can. You can get a feel for this year's line up and schedule below.
I have dietary requirements. Will I be catered for?
Yes, we'll ask you as part of the sign up process what your dietary needs are and we'll work with our catering team to make sure everyone who attends has their needs met with delicious, wholesome and filling food.
