Announcing our SNAP's Got Talent Winner: Matt Badenoch
You may already have seen our announcement on our Facebook page about the outcome of our annual SNAP's Got Talent competition. SNAP's Got Talent is our way of promoting and elevating people from within our community and each year we ask our community to pitch their ideas for talks at our annual SNAP Reunion in the Autumn. This year 40 of us gathered in the Lake District and we spent an afternoon hearing a series of brilliant pitches from SNAP community members.
We're doing things a little differently next year and we've actually added several of our community pitchers to our 2018 line up. The overall winner of the SNAP's Got Talent competition though is the brilliant Matt Badenoch who'll be sharing his SEO wizardry during his session ' 5 Ways to Book Awesome Clients with SEO'.
Matt is a London based wedding photographer and he's been full time for close to 3 years. He shoots a mixture of London, UK and destination weddings and a lot of his weddings are fusion or multicultural. Matt's documentary style is informal and natural and he loves to get in the thick of things at the weddings he shoots, which is evident from his work.
After leaving university Matt spent two years with a Management Consultancy firm in London which gave him a good grounding in soft business skills and where he first developed an interest in the power of branding and marketing.
After shooting a couple of weddings for friends Matt quit his day job and jumped into wedding photography full time. Without a referral base Matt needed to find alternative marketing channels to get bookings, which is how he discovered an interest in SEO. Matt says he's always enjoyed the mix of technical and creative skills needed for SEO and the problem solving element is one of the things that interests him the most. As Matt says Plus "SEO is really about providing a great customer experience which has always been really important to me".
Alongside Matt's business skills we love the energy in his work and we're really excited to have him joining us as a speaker for his third time at SNAP. Check out some of his awesome work below.
