SNAP Spotlight: Olympus

We're really excited to be welcoming Olympus along to SNAP and we are thrilled to have them on board as a partner.
They'll be taking over a small corner of the Fforest to bring you the Olympus Learning zone, where you can drop in and hang out, join in one of the fab workshops they'll be running, photograph a styled area or simply chill out with a photography book and a cup of tea.
As well as the awesome shoots and workshops they have planned they'll be bringing a whole load of kit with them for you to try out.
You'll be able to swing by at any time and check out an OM-D EM1 and a selection of lenses to use at some of your other workshops or around the beautiful backdrop of Fforest.
This is a fantastic opportunity if you're thinking about making the switch to a micro four thirds system that doesn't compromise image quality. We had a chance to test out the OM-D EM1 ourselves recently and were seriously impressed with its super fast focussing, amazing array of professional standard lenses and low light capabilities to rival full frame DSLR systems, all within a light weight body that's perfect for wedding shooters.
The great news is that each time you visit the Olympus Learning Zone you'll be entered into a prize draw where you could potentially win an OM-D EM1 system to take home with you. The activities on offer will include:
360 with John Nassari - Imagine if you could capture the essence of a wedding day – the chatter, the excitement, the scale of the room, and the reactions of everyone within it. Imagine a panoramic photograph that could transport you back to a moment in time, or make somebody who missed the day feel like they were really there. John Nassari, has developed revolutionary new 360° interactive wedding photography service and he's going to be sharing this new technique with you.
Lighting and Off Camera Flash with Robert Pugh - Robert will be on hand to teach lighting and off camera flash techniques from simple set ups to more advanced approaches. You'll cover balancing ambient light with flash, discover how to turn day into night for a more stylised look, learn how to introduce several speedlights to build an image and the use of coloured gels and portable light modifiers and you'll also have the chance to play around with light painting.
I know the Olympus team are super excited to be joining us in the Fforest and we can't wait for you to meet them. Swing by their speaker page to see more images from Olympus Ambassadors John and Rob and check out the latest Olympus Magazine for their latest news.
